This 18-page program was designed to address a common problem that many drummers have, including some advanced drummers, which is an incomplete understanding of the paradiddle. There are too many drummers out there who do not understand the full potential of the paradiddle, thus I write this book hoping to shed some light on the topic. Each exercise is specifically designed to work on a different aspect of this pattern, and by working through this book you will develop the paradiddle to a much higher level. But it goes much further than just improving your speed and power. The main focus of this book is to give you a deep understanding of the possibilities of the paradiddle, not to learn how to play it at warp speed. There are plenty of resources out there that teach speed, so this book takes a different angle.
As you move through the book make sure to keep reviewing earlier pages. Start slowly, work diligently, and you are sure to see the results you are looking for. Reading through a book full of paradiddle ideas, and actually putting the time into mastering these concepts are two completely different things. If you want to become a paradiddle pro, then you MUST put an incredible amount of work into this. If you finish this book in two weeks, then you are not doing it properly.
